Tetra acetyl ethylene diamine
TAED is a bleach activator, allowing hydrogen peroxide to act
as a bleaching agent in water at temperatures less than 60° C,
and in less alkaline water.
Tetra acetyl ethylene diamine is used in many laundry products
that contain oxygen bleaches such as
sodium carbonate peroxide,
Note the similarity to
EDTA a common chelating and sequestering agent.
